Mithika Linturi, the Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. Kenya’s horticultural industry, a key driver of agricultural progress, was under the spotlight, boasting impressive achievements. It has raked in over Ksh. 147 billion in export earnings and an astounding quantity of 391.4 MT. These remarkable figures highlight the sector’s immense potential, calling for a concerted government commitment to its development.

Central areas of focus encompass heightened mechanization and an expansion of export capabilities, leveraging critical transportation infrastructure, including the recently upgraded Eldoret International Airport and seaports. Gratitude was extended to the event’s sponsors, and a call to action was issued to farmers to capitalize on this unique opportunity for collective industry advancement.
