Porta Nova replaces White Naomi with Red Naomi

In a horticultural shift, Porta Nova bids farewell to its White Naomi roses and welcomes the vibrant Red Naomi variety. The company embarked on its journey with White Naomi five years ago, nurturing their growth in one of their greenhouses. While White Naomi possessed its unique beauty, it was not without its challenges.

White Naomi’s rapid growth over the past half-decade has prompted Porta Nova to make room for a fresh start. The culmination of this transition will be marked by an upcoming auction of the final White Naomi stems, scheduled for Friday, October 6th.

Porta Nova extends heartfelt gratitude to all collaborators and supporters who have been part of this delightful journey, placing their trust in the company’s product. Porta Nova announced the shift through their Facebook page early October 2023.

This shift is more than just a change in rose varieties; it symbolizes a strategic move. Porta Nova’s decision to discontinue White Naomi aligns with their plan to prepare the greenhouse for the cultivation of Red Naomi roses. This forward-thinking strategy ensures a consistent supply of high-quality Red Naomi roses, perfectly meeting the growing demand for sustainably cultivated Dutch top-quality roses.
