Cabinet Secretary Hon Soipan Tuya Advocates Green Growth and Climate Finance Solutions at T20 and SEforAll Meeting

Goa, India – On Saturday, Cabinet Secretary Hon Soipan Tuya addressed a joint meeting of Think20 (T20) and Sustainable Energy For All (SEforAll) on the sidelines of the G20 Ministerial Meeting on Energy Transition in Goa, India. During her speech, she emphasized Africa’s vast renewable energy potential, abundant green transition minerals, sustainable agriculture, and the significant carbon sinks the continent offers as crucial solutions to the ongoing climate crisis.

Looking ahead, the inaugural Africa Climate Summit (ACS), scheduled from September 4th to 6th in Nairobi, has set its sights on prioritizing Green Growth and Climate Finance Solutions for Africa and the world as its central agenda. The summit aims to foster discussions and collaborations that will drive sustainable and climate-resilient development for the continent and beyond.

Cabinet Secretary Hon Soipan Tuya’s participation in the international meetings underscores Africa’s commitment to finding innovative solutions to address climate challenges.
