The Board of Directors at Sian Roses, the brand behind three of Kenya’s booming floriculture farms, Equator Flowers, Agriflora and Maasai Flowers, have appointed Mr. Haron C. Koimur as the new managing director.
Mr. Koimur takes over from Mr. Jos Van Der Venne who has served in the company for the last 14 years. Mr. Van Der Venne is relocating back to Netherlands to cater to personal commitments. He will however continue to work closely with Sian Roses.
Mr. Koimur brings with him 22 years of financial and management experience with nine of those years having been spent at Sian Roses as head of finance and administration.
The board has also appointed Mr. Raphael K. Kiptis as the Group head of Finance.
Sian Roses now employs over 2,000 staff and grows and sells 150 million roses per year to exacting international ecological standards.
