Zimbabwe had once been the 2nd largest producer of horticultural products in Africa until the end of the zeros when it lost its position due political unrest. This improved in 2008, however, people still seem to have the unrest on their minds hence trust in their products has not been fully regained. The 2nd edition of the HortiFlor Expo will be taking place from 16- 18 September in an effort to gain back that trust with the results of the first edition being satisfactory to continue hosting the event. The event will be held at the Harare International Conference Center amid increasing interest from Zimbabwean Horticulture companies which is expected to make the exhibition grow this year. So far 50 start up and existing flower growers have registered themselves over the past six months. With 100 flower growers in Zimbabwe, the association is set to become a leasing force within the floriculture sector in Zimbabwe
