Fresh Produce Africa (FPA) & Fresh Tech Africa (FTA) set for 2018 in Kenya

Nairobi, October 3, 2017. The HPP International Exhibitions Group B.V. with its head office in Amsterdam Holland has announced the first edition of “Fresh Produce Africa” (FPA) and “Fresh Tech Africa” (FTA). Two new trade exhibitions designed to serve the specific needs in the Kenyan fresh produce industry. The two events will be held in 2018 in Westlands, Nairobi,Kenya.

Kenya being one of the most important fruit and vegetable producing countries in Africa, is in urgent need of its own platform where= growers, suppliers and buyers of the vegetable and fruit sector can meet. It is for this reason that HPP decided to take the initiative and create an event to make this happen. As a result two trade expo’s have been developed and now ready to be organized.

The dates have been set for next year, from Tuesday April 17 to Thursday April 19, and will take place at the Oshwal Exhibition Center in Nairobi.

FPA & FTA will provide an excellent opportunity for growers to present their fresh produce ready for exports to buyers, whilst suppliers will have a great chance to showcase to both growers and buyers of fresh produce their latest technology solutions and innovations, value added processing & packaging to improve efficiency and profitability of fresh produce operations. Both trade fairs will feature marketers and merchandisers of fresh produce from all over the globe, challenging the organizers to set a goal to make it the industry event for fresh vegetables & fruits for Kenya and later even for Africa.

The exhibitors profile for FTA includes amongst others:
• Packaging and labeling
• Handling processing
• Cooling and storage
• Transportation and logistics
• Technology innovations & solutions
• Production and post harvesting equipment & techniques

HPP will launch an international campaign to attract national and international buyers of fresh produce to attract them to come and see in Kenya fresh produce on display, so they can source and forge new connections as well as purchasing vegetables and fruits from growers from in- and outside Kenya. For this reason also growers from other African nations will be invited to exhibit and showcase their fresh produce, ready for export to food markets around the world.

All growers and brokers will receive\ the first 12 m² floor space and stand construction completely free of charge. Also the registration fee will be waived for these exhibitors.
