Kantaria Agriculture Technology and Innovation Centre set to open at the University of Nairobi

The University of Nairobi’s Upper Kabete Campus is set to welcome a groundbreaking facility, the Kantaria Agriculture Technology and Innovation Centre, a cutting-edge hub designed to transform agricultural research, training, and innovation in Kenya.

This state-of-the-art centre is the result of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between Elgon Kenya Limited, a leading provider of agricultural products and services, and the University of Nairobi’s College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, a pioneer in agricultural sciences education.

The facility aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by equipping students, researchers, and farmers with modern agricultural technologies, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable farming solutions.

The launch of the centre is expected to mark a significant milestone in agricultural education and development, reinforcing Kenya’s position as a leader in agricultural research and innovation. Stakeholders in the agriculture sector eagerly anticipate the official opening, which promises to bring new opportunities for training, collaboration, and advancement in the industry.
